Campers are divided into four age groups called DIVISIONS. Divisions are based on the grade the camper has just completed before attending camp.

For Girls Camps*

  • Ages 7-9 by August 31: Pathfinders
  • Ages 10-12 by August 31: Trailblazers
  • Ages 13-14 by August 31: Shikaris
  • Ages 15-18 by August 31 or 19 year olds who are just graduating from high school : Explorers: Explorers

Girls who will be 16 or older by August 31 can apply to join our Camper in Leadership Training (CILT) program, or can be a regular Explorer camper.

Girls who will be age 13 or older by August 31 can also choose to be a Sweat and Serve camper or a Corral Aide.

For Boys Camps*

  • Ages 7-9 by August 31: Pathfinders
  • Ages 10-12 by August 31: Trailblazers
  • Ages 13-14 by August 31: Shikaris
  • Ages 15-18 or 19 year olds who are just graduating from high school by August 31: Explorers

Boys who will be 16 or older by August 31 can apply to join our Boys Under Intense Leadership Training (BUILT) program, or can be a regular Explorer camper.

Boys who will be 14 or older by August 31 can also choose to be a Sweat and Serve camper or a Corral Aide.

*Campers may attend the appropriate camp week(s) based on their biological sex assigned at birth.

Friend Requests: 

We strive to accommodate friend requests when possible. Our policy when friends are in different divisions (age groups) is as follows:

A camper who is one year older than their friend may move down to the younger division to be in the same cabin as that friend. We cannot move a camper up an age group to be with a friend. We cannot move a camper who is more than one year older than an age group down to that age group to be with a friend. 

For example, a 10-year-old can move from Trailblazers to Pathfinders to be with a friend. An 11-year-old cannot. A 9-year-old may not move up to Trailblazers to be with a friend. All ages are based on the age the camper will be by August 31 of that year.


We reserve the right to move campers to a higher division when needed to create space for more campers to attend camp.
